Smoke bombs are made from three items combined together in a casing with an ejection port. The smoke bombs you buy are composed of an oxidizer, a fuel, and a coolant or controlling agent. Most fireworks plants use potassium chlorate for an oxidizer, Sucrose or Dextrin for a slow burning fuel, and sodium bicarbonate for a controlling agent. Potassium chlorate is available easily enough it is also known as salt peter and can be obtained on the Internet, any hobby shop that sells chemical supplies, or some garden supply stores carry it in the fertilizer section. The controlling agent is basically baking soda, however only factory made smoke bombs can do this because bonding the controlling agent with the oxidizer/fuel mixture can be dangerous and can release unhealthy gases. Don’t worry though to make an effective smoke bomb you can just use the first two “the oxidizer and fuel”. This will work almost as well as factory made but it burns much faster instead of releasing smoke in a slower controlled manner. to make a smoke bomb at home use a sauce pan to cook a mixture of potassium chlorate and sugar in a ratio of 5 parts potassium chlorate to 3 parts sugar. Use very low heat and stir in a slow steady circular motion. continue until you have crystallized the sugar. When you are finished your mixture will look like caramel or dark syrup. Since it is liquid you can form it by using foil or anything you want. I used foil and formed it perfectly round so I could fire it out of some PVC (kind of like a potato cannon) and that made for a very cool science experiment! This way I had a practical use for them during my paintball wars.

I usually have the habit of donating clothes or food for some orphanage every year, but this year I thought I would do something different. There were few children in the orphanage, so I thought I would buy some potato guns for the children. I thought there would be only a few children and I had purchased few of them, but when I reached there I found that I was about six short and the children who hadn’t got them were very upset. As potato guns were expensive when purchased from store, I was in a dilemma as to what to do.

Then from the suggestion of my friends, I came across this wonderful site which detailed on how to build potato gun. My friends also helped me in the process of making potato gun and we got the job done in over a week. We then went to the orphanage and I gifted them potato guns for those who hadn’t got the other day. I was very happy when I saw the happy faces of the children when they received the gift and I thanked God that I am what I am today and happy I was able to do this small thing for the children.

In my daughter Mercy’s class, every Friday she was supposed to take some toys and they are supposed to explain about the toy in the class. So, during one such Show and Tell class, Mercy’s friend Anna brought a small potato cannon and Mercy on seeing that liked that so much and told me that she also wanted one like that. I told my daughter that I hadn’t seen one, so I didn’t know anything about it, but she was very adamant and wouldn’t budge, all she wanted to do was to play with potato cannons. I finally agreed to her demands and told her I would get it ready within a week.

Finally, as I was browsing the internet one day, I found a website on how to build a potato cannon and immediately I pounced on that website and from that I was able to collect all the details regarding potato cannon and I was very pleased with myself for having done so. I then bought the materials and made nice potato cannons for my daughter, Mercy and she was glad that I could make one for her. She then took the potato cannon to the next Show and Tell class and proudly told her friends that her father had done them for her.

Even children and adults when handling fireworks, it should be done with utmost care in order to avoid major accidents from fireworks. So, it is always to play it safe. In New Jersey also fabulous firework shows are held and people wait patiently for the show to begin and have enjoy themselves. You can also watch firework shows from Empire State Building from 8 pm to 10 pm on 4th of July, but tickets have to be booked in advance as the tickets would be sold out well in advance. So, fireworks are used for so many occasions and functions, but handling them carefully would be best for all.

My friend, Jack’s birthday was next week and his father wanted to conduct some different games for the party and he asked me, if I could think of some game that we could play. We racked our brains on many types of games, but never found them interesting. Just then, Peter said that he heard one of his cousins talking about a site on potato launchers, but he didn’t know what it was and we thought we could browse to find and when we looked into it we found the site on potato launcher plans and we read through them very carefully and felt we could really do it.

When we told this to Jack’s father and he also looked into the site and he found it very interesting. He then asked us all to refer the site and learn how to make potato launcher and during the party, the one whose was the best would be given exciting prizes. We were all very excited and the next few days were spent on make potato launcher. When the day arrived, to my surprise, my launcher was the best and I got a thrilling gift and I was very happy that I was able to make it perfectly.

Guns fascinate all people because of the power it holds. But not all people can own guns and that is exactly why you would need a potato gun to replace the original gun. My daughter too loved guns and she kept asking me for one and I got her one that shot arrows. But she did not like it and she asked for a different one. The next one was a water gun but it turned out to be a failure too and she broke it. Finally I was fed up and told her that I would not get her any more guns.

But the problem was that I could not refuse her anything and while I was browsing on the internet, I stumbled upon this website that had a lot of information on potato guns and it even taught you how to make one quite easily. I made it without any trouble at all and surprised my daughter with the potato cannon along with the gun and she was ecstatic. Fireworks are definitely a very important part of all celebrations and we can never imagine July 4th celebrations without them. But while enjoyment is very important, safety always comes first and there are some very important safety rules that have to be followed if you plan to have a safe and happy day. It is important that you wear loose clothing and the material should not be flammable and it is always good to light one firework after another instead of setting it all off at the same time. All the companies that manufacture fireworks will have the safety precautions and rules printed on the boxes and it will do you real good to read them carefully and also follow them.

It is also a bad idea to try to make them on your own without clear knowledge on the subject. It might sound very easy to make explosives but in reality the procedure is very much complex and highly dangerous and it is unwise to even try it out. It is available for all those who are above the age of 18 and willing to purchase them from approved dealers and that is the best idea because it is not good to play with one’s life.

Potato cannons, the better and easier way

As my son’s birthday was fast approaching, I wanted to buy some nice gift for him, but just didn’t know what to get him. I knew my son was very fond of motor racing cars, guns and all those kind of stuff, so I was planning to get something of that kind for him. When I went to the hardware store, I saw something potato cannons and I bought it for him even though it was expensive and my son cherished that gift and assured me that he would keep it safely and would not damage it.

Anyway, that was not the end. I had to buy him potato cannon later on and a huge amount was getting cut from my budget by buying those cannons. Then one day as I was browsing the internet, to my surprise, I found this site where you could actually make potato guns on your own. I was really relieved and I started making them for my son. I came out successfully and when my son saw it, he was really pleased and wanted me to teach him too. I told him I would do so and he was really thrilled, then he told me, the next time he would browse the net and do it by himself.

Use crossbows as weapon in forest areas

One day the district collector called and told me that he received reliable news that there were some unscrupulous elements destroying the forest wealth. He further asked my opinion in compressing such menace forever as I was the district superintend of police. I assured all retaliatory measures in curbing the activities of those people. Immediately I constituted a thirty members special police squad in the rank of inspector and reminded them of crossbow attack in forest areas. I also advised them to use plans to make a crossbow because sometimes they may require crossbows as a weapon while taking part in jungle encounters.

I divided the thirty members into three groups consisting of ten members each and appointed the smartest inspector as the head of the task force and asked him to first take an aerial view of the forest. In the meantime I asked others to be well versed in shooting crossbow and for that I conducted a short training for them. I got a good trainer through one of my friends and through that trainer my subordinates became champions in this type of encounter and it was very easy for them to capture the unscrupulous elements destroying the forest wealth for decades.
